When you make the call, it will be helpful to have the following information at hand:
• your vehicle registration number
• model, colour and year of your vehicle
• nature of the problem
• exact location of the vehicle - city, town, suburb, street, or road as well as the nearest landmark.

CONDITIONS AND EXCLUSIONS
• Unattended vehicles (someone needs to be with the car)
• Vehicles involved in an accident
• Vehicles, trailers etc. carrying a load beyond the legal limit

COSTS NOT COVERED:
The Assist AA Plus is a comprehensive 24-hour service which comes free with every Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicle. Obviously there will be some additional costs which involve outside suppliers. If you are not sure, please confirm with the help desk when you call for assistance. Likely costs will
include the following:
• Expenses associated with getting a replacement key
• Locksmith call-out fees if keys are locked in car and access is not possible
• Towing of caravan or trailer if they breakdown (not your vehicle)
• Emergency fuel top-up costs but not delivery of fuel
• Fuel and rental car insurance
• Personal expenses (meals and telephone calls) if accommodation is required
• Repair of windscreen

Ideal for a person travelling on their own, or a family going on holiday, this service is car specific, so whoever is driving your car (partner, family or friend), they will still be covered. The Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge Assist is one of the most extensive breakdown services and in addition to the roadside service, offers:

• Free rental car and/or emergency accommodation
• Alternative ground transport home
• Emergency travel assistance
• Shattered windscreen assistance
• Medical assistance
• Friends/family contact service.


Breakdown: Call us anytime, 24hrs per day and help will be on its way. Our breakdown staff will assess the problem and if possible, repair your vehicle there and then.

Locked keys in the car: So frustrating when it happens! In most cases our staff can gain access to your car, but if necessary will call a locksmith.

Lost your keys: We will arrange for your spare key to be couriered to you if you have lost your car keys. If a spare key is unavailable, we will have your vehicle transported to the nearest Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge dealership, as it is often not possible for a locksmith to cut Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge vehicle keys at the scene.

Flat tyre: If you have a damaged wheel or tyre, we will help you replace it with your spare. If there is a problem with your spare, we will tow you to the nearest repair facility.

Flat battery: We will jump start your car and advise you to take the vehicle to the nearest Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge Dealership. If found to be faulty, your battery will be replaced and installed. We will arrange to supply and fit a new battery as soon as possible. If your vehicle is still under warranty you can claim the cost of the battery back through an authorised Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge dealer.

Run out of fuel: If you run out of fuel, we will deliver emergency fuel directly to you. Delivery is free - driver just pays for the fuel.

Vehicle needs towing: If we cannot fix the problem at the roadside we will arrange to have your vehicle towed to the nearest Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge dealership. What is more, we will make sure
your boat, caravan or trailer is towed as well.

If your caravan or trailer is itself broken down and cannot be repaired on the side of the road, we can have it towed to the nearest repair centre.

Stuck fast: If you are trapped or bogged down in a public road suitable for a standard two-wheel drive vehicle, we can help get you free, If you need rescuing off road, eg. forest, beach, creek
bed, field or similar location we may be able to attempt recovery (at driver’s expense).

FAR FROM HOME

If you are more than 100km from home, your vehicle breaks down and cannot be repaired within 24 hours; we can offer you the following:

Rental Car: We will provide you with a rental car (depending on availability and location) for up to 3 days to enable you to return home or complete your journey (up to a maximum value of $150 per day). Fuel and insurance are not included.

Accommodation: If car rental services are not available, overnight accommodation will be provided subject to availability. We will pay for up to 3 nights, to the maximum value of $250 per night.

Getting home: If a rental car is not available, we will organise suitable alternative transport for you and your passengers to get home.

Lost/Stolen passports: If your travel documents are lost or stolen within New Zealand, we will help to see they are cancelled and reissued.

Personal Emergencies: You have 24-hour telephone access to trained medical staff. We can also pass on urgent messages and help with other crises such as the cancellation and reissue of credit cards.

Contact friends and family: We will make sure the family and friends do not worry if there is a breakdown or delay.

Shattered windscreen: We will refer you to the nearest reliable repairer. You will be required to pay the repairer directly but may be able to claim on your motor vehicle insurance.
